The Project Drive

The University of Rostock provides project drives upon application. It serves for storing project-related data and joint use by several staff members.

Backups of the project drive can be implemented by the ITMZ in regular intervals upon request. Learn how you can access these backup versions at "Restoring previous version"

The occurring costs shall be borne by the relevant institutions. Normally, accordingly planned project budgets are transferred here.

Information are provided by the system administrator in charge. You get additional information from responsible ITMZ staff members.

Access options

Of course, the project drive can also be accessed from outside the University of Rostock’s network. Here, you have the following options:

  1. University-wide access via the SMB protocol, e.g. with the Windows Explorer
  2. Wordwide access via the RDP protocol via the application server of the ITMZ, see here establishing the connection with the application server.

Es wird keine Authentifizierung am Server für NT LAN Manager Version 1 (NTLMv1) unterstützt. NTLMv1 ist aus Sicherheitsgründen abgeschaltet. Des Weiteren wird SMB1 aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht mehr unterstützt.
